Arrived @ Camping Cabopino in Marbella late in the afternoon. Would have been earlier but Tom Tom Janet decided that the coast road we needed must go through the middle of Fuengirola. Interesting experience to say the least, we could have joined the tourists, done some shopping, or had a stroll along the beach!!
Within an hour of arriving & finding the best pitch we could, some of our neighbours welcomed us over for a drink!! They have all been here since October & like many others book their pitch in advance which means that coming at other times you may only left with the shady pitches etc which whilst great in summer can be a tad cold at this time of year. Luckily ours gets the sun around 09:00 till late afternoon.
A lot of the pitches need a 4 wheel drive caravan to get on & off, not sure how we are going to get off our pitch yet, but will. Still shorts weather in the afternoon, but cooler in the evening.
Friday 4th February
We had the option to move down a few pitches, but decided we would not gain much so re-adjusted the caravan position & level on our pitch. Due to the size & slope of the pitch we decided not to use our full awning and ordered a Sunncamp 390 tent style porch awning from the UK & it should arrive next week. Replacement passports arrived today. Went down to do some shopping in the afternoon ~ the main road is like a race track!
Saturday 5th February
After breakfast & late morning coffe – very nice in the sunshine, we wandered down to Puerto Cabopino for a look around the small port & beaches which are very nice. Came back & had a BBQ lunch & a lazy afternoon. Melissa had posted Janet’s old mobile with new SIM card (new number is 07876 067 790) & replacement driving licence which arrived today.
Sunday 6th February
Lazy day, not much to add! BBQ lunch, some sunbathing etc. The sites WiFi is pretty awful, just about OK for emails/text, some of the time, but very hot/cold for uploading pictures.
